Ranked among the best community colleges in the nation by CNN Money and Washington Monthly, GMC is one of only four military junior colleges participating in the U.S. Army's Early Commissioning Program.

Daily Schedule

Cadets follow a structured schedule Monday through Friday with classes throughout the day, regular formations, parades, and command retreat ceremonies. The schedule closely mimics that of a service academy. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are offered during weekdays, with brunch and dinner on weekends and holidays. Cadets are heavily involved in academic and Corps activities, with TACs (Tactical Officers) providing mentorship while cadet leadership commands and runs the Corps.

Discipline Model

The Corps of Cadets operates as a semi-autonomous, self-governing body providing military structure and discipline for all resident students. All cadets follow the Cadet Guide (Blue Book) and published policies governing the institution. Cadets are expected to demonstrate both military and common courtesy, proper etiquette, and deliver their best effort on time. The program emphasizes that discipline comes from within and is not suited for those who think they "need discipline" imposed on them.

Academics & Outcomes

College Matriculation

GMC has established 69 articulation (transfer) agreements with colleges and universities across the nation, ensuring successful transferability of degree programs and coursework to four-year and six-year institutions. SACSCOC accreditation ensures broad course transferability.
