The Verdict
Benedictine Military School is Savannah's 120-year Catholic tradition of forming young men of faith and character. Founded in 1902 by Benedictine monks, BC combines rigorous college prep with one of the largest and most decorated JROTC programs in the nation—earning Honor Unit With Distinction for 31 consecutive years.
The Corps of Cadets has marched in every Savannah St. Patrick's Day parade since 1903, and 52 BC graduates have served as Grand Marshal. With a 90-acre campus featuring state-of-the-art facilities and a 19,000 square foot STEM Wing, the school produces leaders who embody the motto: Forward, Always Forward.

Daily Schedule
As a day school, cadets follow a structured military schedule that includes morning formation, academic classes, JROTC training, athletics, and co-curricular activities. The JROTC program with over 350 cadets includes drill, leadership development, and community service. Cadets participate in Campus Plaza formations and regular inspections throughout the school year.
Discipline Model
Traditional military merit/demerit system under Army JROTC structure. Cadets progress through ranks based on leadership performance, academics, and conduct. The program emphasizes personal responsibility, honor, and service. Outstanding cadets receive the Gannam Award (sophomore) and God and Country Award (senior). Annual ceremonies include the Pearl Harbor Day military review honoring SSgt George K. Gannam, the first Savannah resident killed in WWII.

Athletics & Physical Training
Varsity Sports
Mandatory PT
All cadets participate in JROTC physical training and afternoon athletics. The Raider Team competes in obstacle course and physical fitness competitions. The football program has won four Georgia state championships (2014, 2016, 2021, 2022) and regularly sends players to Division I programs including Notre Dame, Clemson, and Texas Tech.
Facilities
90-acre campus features a fully lit synthetic turf athletic complex for football, lacrosse, and soccer; two natural grass fields for baseball and lacrosse; 19,000 square foot STEM Wing; technology laboratory; college-style lecture hall; rifle range; cross country trail; JROTC parade field and Campus Plaza; Raider Team obstacle course; and on-campus Benedictine Priory and Chapel.
